There was a gas leak today (February 14th) in Tainan where at least one worker was injured. Firefighters responded and the situation seems to be under control.
Around 5pm today there was a reported leak of hydrochloric acid at a factory in Anping Industrial District in Tainan. One 40 year-old foreign worker at an adjacent factory fell ill and was sent to the hospital.
Firefighters donned gas masks and entered the building. They then set up at least one large fan for ventilation. By a little after 6pm the team reported that the leak has subsided.
