The Biden name has recently come back into the forefront of political discussion, and in part, for very negative reasons.

This is obviously partly due to Joe Biden announcing his run for president bringing up many questionable statements and decisions from his past. It has also dreged up, Hunter Biden, his son’s decisions and deals.

Many started talking about his past in Ukraine. This story is regarding potential corruption on the part of Joe Biden in order to assist his son in ascertaining a deal in the country. It is certainly concerning and looks a bit suspicious, though this is not to be the focus of this article. I will instead look at the Bidens’ ventures into China.

The story began in 2009 when Hunter teamed up with Chris Heinz, stepson of John Kerry, and Devon Archer to found Rosemont Seneca. Rosemont is a private equity firm involved in a vast amount of deals, quickly raising the value of the company.

Shortly after founding the company, less than a year later, Hunter and Archer traveled to China to meet with some of the leading officials in the Chinese Communist Party. At this time they partnered with the Thornton Group.

The Thornton Group is a consultancy company from Massachusetts. The company is headed by James Bulger, who is interestingly named after his uncle James “Whitey” Bulger. The elder Bulger may be familiar to readers due to the fact that he was a infamous mob hitman.

If one were to look on the Chinese language site of the Thornton Group they would easily find numerous details of the meeting including the warm welcome the group received and the purpose of the meeting including pursuing “commercial cooperation”, these details are dubiously absent from the English language version of the site. The ‘coincidences’ do not end there unfortunately.

To attend this meeting Hunter boarded Air Force Two, keep in mind at this time Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States. Right before Hunter Biden’s meeting, his father was meeting with then Chinese “President” Hu Jintao (胡錦濤). Their meeting was to discuss matters pertaining to the Nuclear Security Summit.

A deal was struck between Rosemont Seneca, amongst other investment companies, and state owned Bank of China a mere 12 days after Hunter visited the authoritarian state. The deal was a historic one, it marked the first time China had developed an investment fund Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), of which Rosemont Seneca was a founding partner.

The son of the second in command of the most powerful nation in the world had just struck a deal with one of, if not the, largest authoritarian states in the world, and this is to mention nothing of them being the biggest financial and ideological rival of the US quite a potential national security threat. The threat to the stability of American security and national interest by no means end here. Five years after the formation of the company, at the end of 2014, Bohai struck another deal with the Chinese government.

BHR became a major investor China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGNP). CGNP is an entity intimately connected to the construction of nuclear reactors in China, they are also owned by the state. This same corporation was charged with theft of nuclear secrets from America in 2016. Such technology sought out by the CCP included military technology such as that used in American nuclear submarines.

The same year and month, December 2014, another entity with state backing contacted Rosemont. After much discussion the conglomerate, Gemini Investments Limited, made a $34 million investment into a Rosemont managed fund. Though this was not the end of the love affair between the two.

Gemini Investments Limited (GIL) would go on to purchase 75 percent stake in Rosemont Reality, a sister company of Seneca. This seems an obvious move for the Chinese as they seem to love buying up US property. GIL promised $3 billion dollars in the deal and quickly renamed the company Gemini Seneca.

This gave Chinese investors a direct line to buy up high end housing across America. While the people of China should be pitied , it is also a difficult game of whether some should be trusted. Most low level citizens are simply trying to get by without upsetting the government, but even low level party officials have taken the ‘blue pill’ and will stop at nothing to keep their seat at the table. The deals didn’t end there unfortunately.

The next year Rosemont Seneca teamed up with Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) . AVIC is a military aviation contractor owned by the CCP. They develop weapons of war, such as bombers, fighters, ordinances, drones and other military hardware for the Chinese Army. The two worked together to buy out Henniges, a company that creates technology for both civilian and military use, meaning they are considered a duel-use company. The company was famous for its manufacturing precision and quality. Because of its status as a duel-use company, some of the company’s IPs had been put on the Commerce Control list to prevent sale to foreign countries and thus required the Committee on Foreign Investment’s approval was required, due to this being a matter of national security.

Lucky for the two groups involved the review process went forward without a hitch. Though it should be noted that this process included a number of representatives from John Kerry’s State Department, a seemingly glaring conflict of interest. It should be noted that both Chris Heinz and Bulger have stated they had nothing to do with agreements made with Chinese investors and we have yet to find evidence that they did either way.

It should also be mentioned that AVIC was accused, in 2014, by a Wall Street Journal Report of stealing technology connected to the F-35 US fighter jet. The allegation was that these stolen goods were subsequently integrated into the Chinese J-31, the current iteration of their fighter. The company was also accused of illegally obtaining drone technology from the US. Unfortunately none of this swayed the tide of history on the deal.

In 2015 the deal was approved. AVIC purchased 51 percent of Henniges, while BHR bought the other 49 percent. This was “one of the largest acquisitions by a Chinese company of a U.S.-based automotive manufacturing company in history.” according to a statement from Henniges.

All of these deals, even when taken individually are quite stunning. Hunter Biden had no experience in China. He did have some prior experience with working in the world of finance, though it would be a legitimate question to ask if it would be enough to be making deals with world powers only a few years later.

Before his foray into China he was, from 2001-08, a founding partner of Oldaker, Biden, and Belair, LLP, a law firm based out of DC. He also worked on Eudora Global‘s mergers and acquisitions board. He also served as Director of E-commerce policy issues at the Department of Commerce under the Clinton White House.

In early 2013, Hunter Biden joined a special program, the Direct Commission Officer Program. The program allows civilians with no prior training to obtain limited duty officer commission. Initiates are required to attend two weeks of seminars covering topics such as etiquette, military drills, ceremonies, and history. This training replaces standard boot camp.

Biden received two waivers for the program, the first because he was too old for the program, the other for his past of drug use and arrests. This was a past he seemingly couldn’t shake, in fact, less than a year after joining the program he was discharged for testing positive for cocaine. After this it seems Hunter had lots of extra time on his hands to work with his father on other matters.

While the focus of this article is on Biden’s dealings in China, his efforts in Ukraine should also be noted.

In early 2014, then Vice President Joe Biden was paid a visit by, his son’s business partner, Devon Archer. Less than a week later the Vice President was in the Ukrainian capital holding meetings with various high level officials and offering the nation $1 billion from the US and the International Monetary Fund. The plan was to help develop and fund the natural gas industry in the country, Biden even floated the idea of more money in the future.

‘Coincidentally’ Archer, on the day after the Biden meeting, was announced to have been invited to the board of a Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma. In addition, a mere 3 weeks later, it was proclaimed that Hunter Biden too would sit on the board of the company. It must be remembered that neither of the two Rosemont Seneca founders had even a scintilla of experience in the energy industry.

The company quickly came under scrutiny by those both in Ukraine and around the globe, for what looked on its face to be open and wanton corruption. The New York Times announced that Hunter was being paid $50,000 a month in spite of his lack of experience in Ukrainian law or the energy sector. Though even with the magnifying glass over them the company moved on with few consequences for a few years.

The heat began to ratchet up more in 2016, the same year the elder Biden made another visit to Ukraine. He made this journey with an ultimatum, fire Victor Shokin, the county’s lead prosecutor, or lose out on $1 billion in support. On its surface this seems a conflict of interest.

While both Bidens flatly deny that any corruption or even discussion of these matters took place, the very prosecutor that Joe was trying to can was at the same time doing an investigation of the company of which his son was on the board.

In any case it seems that both Bidens got their wish, Victor Shokin was removed and the case against Burisma was dismissed. However, no one can be certain that it was because of totally due to Joe Biden’s efforts, though he did go on to brag about the incident:

“They were walking out to a press conference. I said, nah, … we’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, ‘You have no authority. You’re not the president.’ … I said, call him. I said, I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars. I said, you’re not getting the billion. … I looked at them and said, ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a bitch. He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.”

While this looks shady, it seems that this may not have been the worst thing that Hunter Biden was involved in. It is true that H. Biden left Burisma in April 2019, amazingly there is still more to his involvement abroad, after his brief foray into Ukraine it seems the latter Biden returned to China, if he ever left.

Recent reports from Human Rights Watch and The Intercept show that Hunter Biden has been involved in the proliferation, at least from monetary stand point, of technology used to monitor the Muslim population in Xinjiang (新疆), a province in western China, and the broader population more generally.

The app which I have mentioned in a previous article, gives the government minute detail about its citizens, including blood type, physical features, and familial and social relationships. It is also largely propped up by facial recognition software provided by Face++.

This brings us back to our old friend Bohai, which paid $460 million to buy into Face++ in 2017. Bohai also partnered, not only with the Bank of China as mentioned earlier, but also with the HNA Group.

The HNA Group began as a small airline company in China. They then went into tremendous debt acquiring assets around the world in various fields including finance and tourism, amounts a host of others. The group has a shady history and it is still very hard to tell who truly backs and runs the company

There are allegations, from The Intercept and others, that the conglomerate is simply a way for the Chinese Communist Party to enrich top ranking members. Many of these allegation stem from Guo Wengui (郭文贵). Guo came to the states in 2014 in self imposed exile. He fled when he discovered that many high level members of the CCP had turned on him and were planning to arrest him on a broad swath of charges including fraud, money laundering, bribing, kidnapping, and rape. His accusations have largely been unsubstantiated. Though if true they would connect the, in his eyes, corrupt group to numerous American leaders including Obama, the Bush and Clinton families, and even members of the Trump administration.

Its difficult to say whether we will ever find out if these charges are accurate. One sure thing is that Biden, both Hunter and Joe, have close and potentially dangerous and illegal ties with the human rights violators and chief, the CCP. With all we know about China, it is troubling this close connection and also Hunter’s father’s words about the authoritarian state.

When talking about China in Iowa he said, “They’re not bad folks, folks.” He also noted that China is not “competition for us.”, a laughable notion for anyone even slightly knowledgeable about the Asian nation. They most certainly are, and will continue to be, if we don’t stand strong against them. This is to mention nothing of the fact that they have concentration camps, are alleged to be doing organ harvesting (including forced hysterectomies) on live individuals, are involved in global and internal corruption, and much more.

Watch the video below for the full clip:

I think it is safe to say that their needs to be an investigation into the Bidens’ connection and possible corruption in regards to China and the Ukraine. They also apparently need to be educated on the horrors that go on inside of China and the damage it inflicts on the rest of the world. I hope that day come sooner than later and the US in general wakes up to China because if we don’t make a stand they will “eat our lunch.”
