Early this Wednesday morning, the suspect in the serial bombing case that has rocked Texas detonated a bomb, killing himself as a SWAT team approached. He has been identified by a source as Mark Anthony Conditt, a 23 year old white male.

In a final attack attempt, he allegedly personally delivered two packages containing explosives to a FedEx store in the Austin area. One of those bombs later detonated in a FedEx sorting center in Schertz, Texas, near San Antonio. Another unexploded ordance was later discovered at another FedEx facility, still in Austin.

Mark Conditt resided outside of Austin, in a suburb called Pflugerville with two roommates. Both are currently cooperating with authorities.

Surveillance footage from the package drop led to his vehicle being identified and tracked to a hotel in Round Rock, Texas, just outside of Pflugerville. A SWAT team was preparing to enter the hotel, when he left and law enforcement attempted to apprehend him. He detonated a device in his vehicle, and was mortally wounded, while a nearby officer was also injured.

Police are still trying to figure out whether he acted alone, and whether there are still other unexploded devices yet undiscovered.

Further developments will be posted when available
