At 1:41 am local time today (March 23), there was a large earthquake just off of Taiwan’s East coast.
The exact location of the epicenter was 23.43°N, 121.52°E, at a depth of 30.6 kilometres. Around 60 kilometres south of Hualien.
The earthquake measured a whopping 6.6 on the Richter scale. This is the largest earthquake in quite some time.
Thankfully, as of yet, there have been no reports of damage or injury, but if the are updates we will bring them to you as they occur.
