Tonight an earthquake occurred off the northeast coast of Taitung at 8:22 this evening. The quake register a depth of 34.5 kilometers and a reading of 5.6 on the Richter Scale. Thankfully no damage has been reported from the earthquake as of yet.
In Taitung and Hualian the intensity was 4, in Kaohsiung, Chiayi, Nantou, Tainan, Yunlin, and Taichung it was 3, in Miaoli, Hsinchu, Changhua, and Pingtung it was 2, and in New Taipei and Taoyuan it was 1.
