Just days after Shell stated that they would continue to purchase Russian oil, but donate the profits from such sales to assist Ukraine, they have reversed course.
They have stated that not only will they abandon Russian projects, but immediately stop all purchases of Russian crude oil, close service stations, and stop production of aviation fuel and lubricants in Russia.
This represents a huge step towards cutting off Russian oil exports, the main funding source for the state in its capacity to continue to carry out their invasion of Ukraine.
